Deep Future.

Deep Future invites us to look beyond tomorrow. We explore how medicine and longevity, artificial intelligence, work, education, communities and innovation will transform human life and our relationship with the planet-without losing meaning, creativity and connection.

We do not predict the future. We imagine it, understand it and build it. What kind of future do we choose to create?

In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED created the TEDx program: local, independently organized events held under a TED license that bring people together for a TED-like experience.

TEDxBuzău combines live talks and TED Talk screenings to spark authentic conversations and connections. After its first edition in 2022, the community returns in 2026 with the theme Deep Future.

Ana Maria Mircea

Entrepreneur, business coach, founder of Dacia Romanian Dining and Quantum Living

Raised in a family business in Buzău, she founded Dacia Romanian Dining, a project that brings Romanian gastronomy into the present, from the family butchery to the fine-dining experience.

Through Quantum Living, she offers coaching, business mentoring and a holistic development path for women. She works with women entrepreneurs seeking clarity, growth and balance.

She connects entrepreneurs, investors and producers around Romanian projects with international ambition. This is where Deep Future begins.

The day's
program.

A day in three acts, with generous breaks, because at TEDx the conversations in the foyer matter as much as those on stage.

  1. Check-in & coffee

    Welcoming guests, badges and open networking in the theatre foyer.

  2. Session I 4 talks

    Ideas that start from zero: science, memory, beginnings.

  3. Break & TED Talk screening

    A TED Talk selected by the community, with snacks from local producers.

  4. Session II 3 talks + performance

    Ideas transformed into action: social entrepreneurship, journalism and live art.

  5. Community lunch

    Long shared tables. Seating is intentionally random.

  6. Session III: Deep Future 3 talks

    What remains: mental health, education and the future of small cities.

  7. Closing & afterparty

    Thanks, photographs and conversations that refuse to end.

The TEDx program

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created the TEDx program: local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBuzău, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxBuzău, TED Talk video screenings and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

What is TED?

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading. It began in 1984 as a conference about Technology, Entertainment and Design, and today covers almost every field, from science and business to culture and global issues, in more than 100 languages, through conferences, TED Talks and media initiatives such as TED.com.
